Coronavirus update - school at home
There’s a lot of uncertainty around school closures at the moment and we thought it wise to show schools how they can keep operating even if staff and students are forced into quarantine.
We’ve created a series of Knowledge Base articles to help you setup your school so students can work from home.
Generate student logins
You’ll need to start by issuing logins so students can use uEducateUs.
Assigning schoolwork for working from home
Teachers can create assessments, assignments, homework, learning tasks and quizzes using the Tasks module.
We're working on improvements so Tasks can be used on Smartphones and Tablets and we'll let you know when this work is complete.
In the meantime, you'll find Tasks work best on your PC or Mac.
You’ll find help on these in the links below:
Tasks can be assigned to classes or individual students.
Teachers can also set due dates and notify parents that work has been assigned.
Accessing your children’s tasks
Students get notified of Tasks via the Diary, and can find them under Curriculum and Tasks.
Accessing and completing homework
They just View the task to get all the information they need, including the teacher, class, description and task notes. Once finished, they can attach files (such as images or documents) if required, and send it back for grading.
Keeping in contact
Students and teachers can keep in contact, discuss tasks and other issues using the Conversations module.
You’ll find this under Communication and Conversations.
Conversations can be started with your whole class, or with specific students, while students can create conversations with their teachers to ask about their course work.
Getting Support
uEducateUs support is available during this difficult time, and we’ll let you know if things change.
